Generative AI is shifting how we build software, but reliance on single, standalone language models brings well-known limits in reliability, accuracy, and domain context. To move beyond simple chat assistants towards production-grade software engineering, the industry is turning to open protocols, modular building blocks, and multi-agent coordination.

On 10th November, our consortium partner, the Eclipse Foundation Europe (ECL), is hosting a dedicated webinar exploring how open-source collaboration is shaping these next-generation AI platforms.

What will be covered?

The session brings together two complementary perspectives on open AI infrastructure:

  • Open-Source AI tooling & runtimes: Jonas Helming, CEO of EclipseSource will present three core building blocks: Eclipse Theia AI, Eclipse Enclave, and the AI Registry. Rather than focusing on isolated APIs, Jonas will demonstrate how these tools work together to let engineering teams build AI-native IDEs, execute autonomous agents in policy-controlled environments, and discover reusable AI components.
  • Agent Communities & Orchestration in MOSAICO: Antonio García-Domínguez, Reader in Software Engineering at University of York, will share our latest developments within the MOSAICO project. Antonio will walk through how MOSAICO coordinates specialised AI agents across software engineering workflows, covering our agent repository, performance benchmarking, dynamic orchestration, and consensus mechanisms.

Whether you are designing developer tooling or looking to adopt multi-agent workflows in your engineering pipelines, this session offers a practical look at where open AI ecosystems are heading.

Who should attend?

  • Software engineers, system architects, and technical leads exploring open-source AI integration.
  • Researchers and developers working on multi-agent orchestration, AI governance, and developer tooling.
  • Open-source contributors and technical leads interested in the Eclipse ecosystem.

Attendance is free but registration is required, so don’t miss it!
