SYNERGIES
Alliance for Generative Software Engineering (AGenSE)
AGenSE (Alliance for Generative Software Engineering) is a European research cluster established under Horizon Europe to bring together four leading projects: AI4SWEng, ASTIR, HIVEMIND, and MOSAICO. The alliance focuses on aligning research efforts, coordinating cross-project activities, and establishing unified standards to advance generative AI, multi-agent systems, and human-AI collaboration across the software engineering lifecycle.

Sister Projects

AI4SWeng is an international Horizon Europe initiative designed to turbocharge agile software engineering through advanced AI and Large Language Models (LLMs). The project delivers an end-to-end engineering suite—featuring automated development and test tools—to drastically reduce developer stress, accelerate time-to-market, and optimize software reliability. By embedding design-by-contact principles and structured prompt engineering, AI4SWeng ensures that multi-architectural and resource-constrained systems possess socially responsible, sustainable, and ethically auditable compliance.

ASTIR (Advanced Software Technologies for Industrial Resilience) is a Horizon Europe research initiative dedicated to the fundamentals of software engineering. The project focuses on creating and implementing advanced software architectures engineered to secure high industrial resilience and maintain operational stability across critical enterprise systems.

Funded under the Horizon Europe framework, HIVEMIND stands as a key cloud-and-edge computing initiative designed to redefine multi-system synergy. The project develops automated orchestration, distribution, and runtime configurations to ensure that modern industrial software platforms possess highly scalable decentralized behavior, swarm performance patterns, and responsive collective reasoning.
